Summary of the Role:

 

To perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities for the Dahej Plant. This role ensures adherence to standard procedures, drives quick resolution of quality issues, and maintains compliance with quality and safety standards while optimizing turnaround time. This position plays a critical role in guiding shift teams, minimizing deviations, and ensuring seamless communication across functions.

 

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:  

 

 

  1. Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and job aids for quality control processes.

 

  1. Perform routine testing and QC activities in shifts; Responsible for the on-time testing and clearance of incoming, inprocess and final products.

 

  1. Drive the process improvements to improve operational efficiency, product quality, safety and cost.

 

  1. Responsible for the Validation, Calibration and measurement system programs. Drive new programs which are implemented from Global QA to Dahej.

 

  1. Act as key coordinator for shift teams to ensure smooth execution of testing, resolving analytical and process related challenges.

 

  1. Define & implement process improvements to improve operational efficiency, product quality, safety and cost.

 

  1. Actively lead the Quality deviations resolution processes at Dahej plant. Reporting of Quality incidents, deviations and non-conformances to the operation excellence dashboard.

 

  1. Actively participate in RCA and work on corrective actions to ensure timely closure of non-conformances, customer complaints etc.

 

  1. Promote company standards and policies on safety, Quality and 5S.

 

  1. Perform other required duties as needed in addition to the essential responsibilities described above.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

 

Education / Certification:

 

  1. Masters / bachelor’s degree in chemistry / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering preferably from a good university & minimum work experience of 8 to 10 years in chemical Process industry or polymer compounding industry

 

  1. Computer Skills: MS Office, Minitab, SAP QA Module, LIMS

 

Experience and Skills:  

 

 

  1. Experience in industry related to Batch operations, compounding – preferably solid / powder material.  

 

  1. Strong knowledge in Polymer testing, Physical property testing and BIS requirements standards.

 

  1. Familiar with the various key systems to drive Quality and operational excellence at manufacturing plants such as 5S, TQM, 7QC tools, Six sigma (preferred).

 

  1. Demonstrates strong capability to lead, train, and guide technicians in polymer testing while ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices.

 

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

  1. Ability to receive and provide instructions with team spirit in effective manner.

 

  1. Able to influence others to drive change.
