What You'll Do:

The Material Handler is responsible for accurate shipping, receiving and storage of products and materials in the warehouse.

You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact the health and safety of Lubrizol employees.

 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Operate tow motor and pickers to handle drums, bag stock, and freight from trucks.
  • Scan, label, and put away items using tow motor computers and scanners.
  • Perform data entry for receipts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Occasionally stage drums for package shipments and load containers.
  • Learn and adhere to hazardous material regulations for DOT/IMDG, DOT/ICAO, and air shipping.
  • Pick and prepare orders for raw materials in receiving for use in production.
  • Conduct safety inspections, record findings, and write maintenance orders for equipment repairs.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, storage areas, walkways, and roadways to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with other operators to establish and implement best practices across the facility.
  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.

  • Strong tow motor skills and drum handling experience
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Ability to follow Lubrizol department procedures and practices
  • Ability to safely drive and operate various delivery vehicles, including forklifts
  • Ability to hear alarms and follow alarm procedures
  • Literacy and proficiency of Lubrizol's computer systems
  • Basic math and reading/comprehension skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
  • Self-motivated without the need for constant supervision
  • Flexibility with schedule and work duties
  • Must be a team player who will also assist other department team members as needed
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while delivering focused results
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Follow-up skills and ability to think quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Preferred skills: previous tow motor experience, additional computer skills, working SAP knowledge, ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, ability to wear SCBA/Respirator
  • Working conditions: subject to physical activities, willing to work in a warehouse environment and outdoors in inclement weather, ability to work independently and around others, willingness to work long shifts, overtime, and holidays, maintaining a clean-shaven appearance for respirator usage.
