What You'll Do:
As an Export Logistics Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, managing export orders from booking creation to final delivery at the port of destination. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. This role is crucial to the success of the Global Logistics group, focusing on efficient container utilization and meeting both internal and external goals and metrics. You’ll collaborate with Export Customer Service, Freight Forwarders, Carriers, and Supply Chain Representatives to ensure timely shipment and customer satisfaction. You’ll serve as the primary contact for transportation-related tasks.
Essential Job Functions:

Generate and send Electronic Data Interchange to our Freight Forwarders to reserve vessel space.

Conduct transportation planning activities including capacity planning, shipment and fleet planning, carrier selection, routing, scheduling, and load building.

Receive and audit booking confirmations from Freight Forwarders.

Track the movement of shipments from PGI to final delivery and manage exceptions as they arise.

Escalate unresolved issues to Logistics Supervisor when unable to immediately resolve.

Support the preparation, review, and distribution of export documentation to Freight Forwarders, ocean carriers, Customs, and importers.

Provide updates to Export Customer Service on any issues that impact delivery to our customers.

Record delays affecting ocean shipments and delivery performance.

Update carrier reference numbers, master vessel carrier, and/or container numbers as needed.

Provide points of contact for Lubrizol global colleagues to streamline communication.

Set up collect ocean and air export shipments in Transportation Module and provide supporting documentation to Export Customer Service.

Participate in carrier service and issue resolution.

Participate in carrier monthly/quarterly reviews as needed.

Provide back-up coverage for other Logistic Associates.
Experience and Skills:
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

3+ years of logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of export order processing, including export documentation and compliance requirements

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners

A collaborative mindset and a willingness to support team goals

Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the initiative to identify issues, recommend solutions, and work independently when needed

A positive, results-oriented attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding service

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Enthusiasm, professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgement
CONSIDERED A PLUS:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain

SAP/ S4 HANA experience
-
Experience specific to production scheduling, and the transportation industry

Knowledge of International commerce and Incoterm use
