ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Ensure APAC technology development team is developing products and claims that provide sustainable value for Lubrizol and our customers.
• Manage the regional development portfolio and deliver solutions with winning value propositions
• Support the development / refresh of APAC technology roadmap and associated local capabilities
• Cultivate innovation and develop people by creating a transparent and collaborative work environment that explores value-added ideas from across the entire enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that safety is foremost in the minds of the team, that we adhere to our ethical standards and the cultural beliefs are manifest in the actions of the leader and the team
• Leading region’s formulator team for Transportation including engine oils, driveline, and future mobilities to develop and deliver regional solutions for business growth. 
• Monitor emission, carbon regulations, translate to impact to future lubricant requirements.
• Influence OEM and Industry specification, advocate for high performing solutions.
• Lead technical qualification of localization components to enhance BCP
• Identify unique local components and leverage for product development.
• Develop local vendor additive knowledge and monitor IP and incorporate in LZ’s IP strategy
• Provide feedback on new testing and research capabilities needed for APAC market
• Ensure compliance with product development and commercialization best practices
• Develop team capabilities and succession plans, enhance local development capabilities.
• Deploy people and DTE to support aligned APAC growth strategy
• Global alignment with Transportation formulation team, Research, Development team, share knowledge and best practices.
• Monitor regulations and advocate for market upgrade.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

• Education Background - BSc Chemist, Chemical or Mechanical Engineer minimum.  Masters or PhD preferred
• Skills - Experience in leading a team, Strategic thinking, Commercial acumen
• Other Experiences: Lubricant or related chemical industry preferred. Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
