    What You'll Do:

    • As  Process Safety Manager, your primary responsibility will be maintaining the integrity and governance of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) and Management of Change (MOC) element and collaborate with and support Plant Leadership Team to drive overall program maturity

    Considered a Plus :

  • Working knowledge of ASME, NEC, NFPA, API standards and OSHA regulations
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing principles
  • Expertise in Human Reliability Analysis
  • Expertise in design/project engineering
  • Experience in Dust Hazard Analysis and some understanding of solids handling regulations
  • Experience with PHA Works, Leader or other PHA software
  • Experience using SAP, PI and/or DeltaV software
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
  • Professional Engineer Certification

    Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a minimum of 15 years of experience in the chemical industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the process safety field, including knowledge of PSM regulatory requirements and risk-based process safety best practices. [Source]
  • Strong knowledge and application of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) for assessing and determining project and process risks.
  • Experience in conducting Facility Siting studies required by PSM regulations. [Source]
  • Understanding of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) analysis and formal training in root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Results-oriented and detail-oriented with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals to identify and address safety hazards and develop effective processes and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coach internal staff, collaborate with external groups and agencies, and influence compliance with PSM and safety initiatives.

    What We're Looking For:

  • Manage Process Safety Engineer role with primary responsibility for leading PHAs and ensuring compliance with process safety standards.
  • Implement Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) program to enhance site risk assessment programs.
  • Lead Facility Siting studies and collaborate with global insurance provider to develop an action plan for site alignment.
  • Maintain and update process safety information, including PSM procedures, P&IDs, PSV sizing documents, and Process Flow Diagrams, in coordination with the Process Safety Engineer and other site owners.
  • Manage the Corporate Risk Register as the single point of contact, ensuring leadership sign-offs are in place.
  • Lead or participate in process safety audits, maturity model assessments, and incident investigations, applying appropriate root cause analysis tools. [Source]
  • Stay updated on industry-wide regulations and ensure proactive preparation for regulation changes that may impact the site.
  • Provide input to site capital investment plans, manage Process Safety Cost Center operating expenses, and participate in various plant management committees and teams.
