How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Learning & Development Manager, you will play a critical role in strengthening our workforce capabilities by leading all employees onboarding, training, and continuous development initiatives at the Deer Park site. You will support strategic learning programs that enable a skilled, safe, compliant, and high‑performing team aligned with facility objectives and Lubrizol’s operational pillars. In this role, you will:
- Manage all aspects of learning and development (L&D) for the site, covering operators, crafts, technicians, engineers, and other critical roles to sustain knowledge, competence, and performance.
- Facilitate learning related to company policies, procedures, personnel development, technical skills, and soft skills—covering onboarding, performance-based training, and required role recertifications.
- Lead engagement with department stakeholders to identify training needs and deliver strategies supporting Lubrizol pillars: People, Enterprise Operations, and Customer.
- Oversee the design and development of programs and curriculum, partnering with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to meet defined training objectives.
- Collaborate with corporate functions to leverage enterprise-wide initiatives, supporting knowledge retention, productivity, and operational excellence.
- Develop, track, and report metrics that hold site leadership accountable for timely completion of all required training.
- Provide leadership across office and plant environments to enhance safety, work efficiency, task management, and overall performance.
- Support employee development through regular engagement on performance and career paths, leveraging internal and external tools and programs.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Learning/Education.
- 8+ years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- 4+ years of people management experience, preferably within chemical manufacturing.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and PI.
- Strong ability to partner cross-functionally and influence across all levels.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organization, and presentation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive engagement, learning effectiveness, and workforce development.
- Self-driven and highly goal‑oriented.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
- Experience leading organizational development or training initiatives in industrial settings.
- Experience designing learning programs, curricula, or competency-based frameworks.
