What Will Be Your Environment:

Strategically located in the heart of Southern California’s medical device industry, the 53,000 square-foot facility is equipped with test laboratories for device testing and benchmarking, prototyping and development, and clean rooms for volume production with around 120 employees.

 

What You'll Do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will provide support safety through emergency, preventative and routine maintenance service to manufacturing equipment, physical plant, office, and building. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Receives work direction from department manager or another designated leader.
  • Provides emergency repair maintenance service as needed to minimizing downtime.
  • Provides preventative (scheduled) repair maintenance service based on manufacturer’s recommendation, equipment specifications or good manufacturing practices.
  • Provides routine (unscheduled) maintenance service with general to limited supervision. Typically, such specialties could involve some of the following: plant or production/mechanical repair, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), fabrication (welding), Industrial electrical, and industrial plumbing.
  • May include, but not limited to examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble; dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scrapping or fitting parts; replacing broken or defective parts when items ordered from stock; ordering the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sending this part to a machine shop or sending the part to a machine shop for major repairs.
  • Preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops; reassembling machines, equipment, etc., and making all necessary adjustments for operations.
  • Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential duties and responsibilities described above.

       

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Successful completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent, plus some additional specialized training.
  • 5+ years of industrial mechanic working in a manufacturing environment and previous on the job experience.
  • A well-rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, methods, and materials used in manufacturing maintenance.
