Salary Range: $97,000 – $116, 000
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Sr. Process Improvement Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our innovation, driving excellence in our Chemical Processes through Technology and Capital Improvement Projects. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:
- Be the go-to knowledge expert on our process technology and continuous improvement skill sets including detailed knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and process equipment.
- Drive knowledge exchange with technology experts to increase improvement opportunities for that technology.
- Partner with experts to develop and implement Plant Specific Technology Plan(PTSP) to deliver positive year-over-year returns on capital (ROC) and non-capital continuous improvement .
- Managing Capital Projects.
- Lead and/or support plant continuous improvement activities and supports the capital plan for the facility.
- Champions and act as a resource for process safety activities and concerns. Partner with operation and maintenance to identify technology gaps, track performance indicators, & continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure project engineering files and/or turn over packages (e-TOP) are complete. Maintains up-to-date technical information for all processes (i.e., drawings, calculations, BOMs, O&M manuals, etc.).
- Champion the “next unplanned event” exercise to ensure potential solutions are captured.
- Provide advice to manufacturing operations to resolve process, product, and quality related issues.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA) using established tools to identify solutions, implement corrective actions to reduce risks and minimize challenges.
- Adhere to the management of change (MOC) process to ensure documentation is complete, risks are adequately assessed / controlled, personnel are trained, changes are approved prior to implementation.
Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success
- BS in an Engineering Discipline from an ABET accredited program.
- 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Process Technology and Safety including Process Hazard assessments (PHA) and Pre-startup safety reviews(PSSR)
- Experience with Process Equipment Qualification and Validation(IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Experience with key continuous improvement systems (Six Sigma, LEAN)
Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward
- BS is Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience is a Chemical Processing Plant
- Experience with thermoplastic polyurethane manufacturing
- Experience with SAP
- PMP, Black Belt, Green Belt
