Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Responsible for inventory functions, receiving goods, and physical counting of inventory to maintain accuracy of perpetual inventory. Completes ordering of specified items as needed to maintain proper inventory levels. Effectively collaborates with all other departments to eliminate schedule inconsistencies and delays. Facilitates rush orders, prepares standard progress reports, and notifies the organization of opportunities or complexities. Supports plant-wide inventory and cycle count efforts. Assists with material handling tasks in warehouse as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage & monitor inventory levels (sales stock, raw materials, packaging, product returns, finished product, also includes reconciling)
- Work with Warehouse and manufacturing supervisors on rotating inventory (FIFO) and inventory stocking issues.
- Support the control of inventory levels by conducting regular physical Reference Counts; comparing with SAP (theoretical); investigates all variances and identifies appropriate actions that will minimize/eliminate these variances.
- Verify Purchase Order/ material arrival accuracy by performing accuracy checks during receipt process, as well as matching invoice and Purchases Order to ensure proper pricing, quantity, and product specification.
- Monitor, manage and disposition VIM’s related to Purchase orders
- Facilitate rush orders, prepare standard progress reports, and notify other departments of opportunities or complexities
- Coordinate with vendor for vendor-managed keep stock
- Review safety stocks, ordering quantities, pricing, goods quality and lead-times as needed dependent on internal usage, external environment or supplier feedback
- Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement with purchasing
- Administrate monthly inventory cycle counting at all locations. Manage records, reconcile month end closing/inventories, update inventory system
- Work closely with warehouse personnel, verifying that all daily movement and transactions are performed per policies and procedures.
- Support the coordination of all deliveries and works closely with manufacturing supervisors, Logistics Supervisor, and centralized purchasing team to communicate shortages from vendors, proper days on hand quantities and any "smart" purchasing needs.
- Monitor and audit (as directed) all transactions that may impact inventory levels and provides the necessary feedback to management that will help improve performance.
- Support other warehouse duties by assisting with material handling activities on an as-needed basis
- Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Perform other duties as assigned by Logistics Supervisor

Technical Requirements:
- Transactional experience within SAP or other ERP system.
- Ability to operate various lifting equipment
- Proficient with internet, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to communicate and work with cross-functional teams and all levels in the organization (internal and external)
- High level of self-initiative and the ability to prioritize, work independently and manage time effectively
- 2 or more years of inventory or purchasing in a warehouse environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving, critical decision-making skills, and uses good judgement
- Excellent data entry with minimal errors
- Ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Educational Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or relevant work experience. Preferred Associates degree or high education in a relative field.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Use of reading and writing, adding and subtracting of whole numbers, following of instructions, use of fixed gauges, direct reading instruments and similar devices, where interpretation is not required.
