What You'll Do:

As a Chem Mix Operator, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by as a member of our production team to produce staples of the Lubrizol product line.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Follow written procedures, wear required PPE, and adhere to site 5S program for organization and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to cover overtime and openings in schedule for efficient plant operations.
  • Perform tasks such as loading/unloading melting ovens, weighing and mixing raw materials for polyurethane batches, monitoring process reactions, and unloading cured polymer.
  • Complete in-process inspection, report non-conformances, and clean equipment and work area as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate records, conform to Quality Management System for material traceability, and issue maintenance work orders using SAP system.
  • Operate various equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scales, and strapping/stretch wrapping machines.
  • Detect and report any improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
  • Follow company rules, regulations, safety precautions, and maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering for possible process improvements and provide daily production progress reports.
  • Ability to obtain HAZWOPER certification, manage waste disposal, and follow training progression outlined in the plant Training and Role Matrix.

 

Skills That Make a Difference: 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Expeience working in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, distribution, construction, or related field.
  • Experience in the plastics industry is a plus.
  • Strong safety mindset.
  • Ability to operate plant equipment.
  • Proficient in basic math skills, including the ability to calculate gross, tare, and net weights.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
