The User Interface (UI) Designer is a technical role that is responsible for presenting products, services, and marketing content, in a way that is attractive and intuitive for users. The UI designer will combine programming, psychology, and creative design to build these online experiences that will enhance a customer's satisfaction with Lubrizol and facilitate an enjoyable experience while using our company’s websites and applications. As a UI designer, you will also be expected to have a working understanding of coding and responsive design principals. In this role, you will work with the commercial organization as well as the IS organization to approve and execute the designs. This role is open to work at any Lubrizol site.


Key Responsibilities:


Improve the look and feel of interactive applications to drive positive user engagement and conversion

Integrate brand messaging and corporate style guidelines across our online channels

Create consistent user experiences that aid adoption

Develop UI design concepts and wireframes for sharing with key stakeholders

Conduct UAT testing of applications and websites to assess user experience; A/B testing included

Create surveys to gather feedback on the user's experience over time

Analyze user feedback/responses that define actionable improvement plans

Account for and track the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design



•            3 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI designs in the B2B or B2C space.  5 years of experience is preferred.

•            Proficient with visual design programs and languages

•            Strong responsive web design background

•            Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces

•            Experience creating wireframes

•            Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data for the best possible outcome

•            Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently

•            Professional written and interpersonal skills

•            Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and technology

•            Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languages


Technical Background:

•            HTML

•            CSS

•            Bootstrap

•            Javascript

•            Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Adobe XD or similar wireframing tools)

•            Sitecore UI design a plus

•            Hybris UI design a plus

•            .Net, PHP, XHTML development a plus
