Dream to change the world. Design business strategies to get there. Deliver results to lead the way.

History and Creation of the Strategic Business Leadership Program

Lubrizol was founded over 90 years ago, with the creation of a lubricant additive that significantly improved the experience of driving the first-ever mass-produced automobile.

Today, Lubrizol products are in half the vehicles you see on the road as we lead the specialty chemical industry as a $7 billion global company. Our product portfolio has also grown. Through strategic business growth and passion for innovation, Lubrizol products are also in consumer goods – from pharmaceuticals and medical devices, to personal care products, and sports and recreation apparel. Our mission has never changed – we improve lives – whether through creating improvements in efficiency and reliability, wellness or sustainability.

Many of our executives joined Lubrizol in fast-paced, early-career developmental programs. This internship program is no different, as we welcome unique talents and fresh perspectives to drive real change in our business. For decades, Lubrizol has flourished because of our excellence in technology and technical talent.
