The Security Systems Specialist manages the day to day functions of Security systems by providing solutions and operational support for the access control and video management systems used to ensure the safety and security of Lubrizol’s sites and personnel
Responsibilities
- Develop and assign access levels in the card access system for personnel requiring access
- Administer employee photo identification program
- Schedule preventative maintenance checks for all security sytems
- Purchase security supplies and equipment
- Troubleshoot issues within the access control and video management systems
- Audit access levels and modify as needed
- Manage the programming and repair process for two-way radios
- Support security projects and initiatives
- Provide gate and barrier bar maintainance and troubleshooting
- Provide Corporate support in all aspects of the Global S2 Access Control Credential and Traveler Request programs
- Provide findings of video reviews to appropriate individuals in Facilities, General Counsel, and other departments as directed.
- Maintain and secure confidential information received in strict confidence and take measures to prevent disclosure to others.
- Administer systems infrastructure: updates/upgrades/ electronic life cycle / and recommend enhancements
- Support Corporate initiatives and northeast ohio sites as needed.
- Keep access control and video management systems up to date via software and firmware updates
- Engage access control and video management system vendors to provide system support where needed
Skills, Qualifications, Experience
- High school diploma
- Associates degree in Electronic, Information Systems or a related field preferred
- Must possess strong computer skills including knowledge of or ability to learn:
- S2 Access control system software
- S2 Photo ID software
- Communicator Notification System
- Video Management System software
- Ability to communicate to all organizational levels
- Ability to identify operational issues and react accordingly
- Ability to multitask and delegate work as appropriate
- Knowledge of basic network concepts and troubleshooting
- Experience providing technical support via remote tools
Decision Making
- Use good judgment with regards to costs and best value when purchasing services, equipment or supplies for department and corporation
- Must possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to make decisions affecting personnel and systems
- Prioritize work to minimize the impact on individuals, the department and corporation.
- Improve processes when possible
