The Wickliffe facility is the world headquarters of The Lubrizol Corporation. The overall site occupies 90 acres of land and consists of two separate campuses. The east campus houses the corporate services offices of the world headquarters. The west campus contains the technical center, which is dedicated to research and development (R&D) and testing. Site activities center on designing, developing, and testing technology to meet new and anticipated industry performance requirements for lubricants and fuel additives as well as fundamental R&D for next generation specialty chemicals aligned with our businesses. As a member of the Health Safety and Security group, the Security Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring and protecting Wickliffe Corporate Headquarters facility employees and intellectual property from unauthorized personnel by observing and reporting suspicious activity and facilitating the response to emergency incidents to ensure a safe working environment for the employees, visitors, and community.

 

Hiring for the following shift hours:

1st Shift Weekend (10:30am – 10:30pm) Friday – Sunday

3rd Shift Weekend (10:30pm – 10:30am) Friday – Sunday

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor the access control system to verify authorized personnel and visitors
  • Process visitors, deliveries and contractors and direct to appropriate areas
  • Monitor closed circuit television (CCTV) to identify deviations from normal operating conditions
  • Provide detailed reports of daily activities and incidents
  • Work with Health, Safety, and Environmental staff on shared initiatives
  • Ensure security and safety standards are being followed
  • Act as point of contact for internal and external responders during emergencies
  • Dispatch emergency personnel in the event of a plant emergency
  • Provide monitoring and communication support for chemical spills, accidents and security breaches
  • Monitor the fire and life safety systems (e.g., sprinklers) for upset conditions and notify appropriate personnel
  • Provide answering services during non-business hours (e.g., SDS requests, transportation incidents)
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Provide Monitoring support to HR during employee separations
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Perform daily checks of security systems and report any problems
  • Provide gate coverage as needed
  • Conduct patrols of site perimeter to verify standard conditions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills, Qualifications, Experience                          

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of dispatching or Security related experience (preferred)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Considered a plus

 

  • Associate degree in applicable field
  • Experience with access control software
  • Experience at a chemical facility or similar
  • Certifications – CVI, NIMS
