Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing tactical and strategic leadership in the development and implementation of the corporation’s global security initiatives for all Lubrizol chemical manufacturing, research, sales, and logistics operations within the Americas Region.

This is an experienced professional with knowledge in the security field. This position is responsible for providing ongoing tactical support while assisting in the development and implementation of programs, standards and initiatives in security, compliance, and management systems.



  • Manage implementation of national security guard contract
  • Manage corporate security technology initiatives including:
    • Milestone video management system
    • S2 physical access control system
    • Coordinate and unify system implementation and support efforts between Regional IS and local administrators
  • Support aspects of DHS Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) security implementation requirements
    • Recommend and assist with security measures necessary to meet Site Security Plan commitments
    • Support CFATS regulatory compliance
  • Conduct security vulnerability assessments globally
  • Conduct security audits globally
  • Support physical site security design
  • Manage implementation of physical security standards
  • Function as the S2 and Milestone Regional Administrator for the Americas Region, including global support as needed
  • Support global security initiatives, including security vulnerability assessment and audit completion
  • Assist in project implementation across all functional areas of HSES as needed.



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice or Security Management; or equivalent combination of education and security management experience in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in security management
  • Experience within manufacturing sector, chemical manufacturing preferred
  • ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification (Preferred)
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of security regulations and industry standards
  • Application, design, and integration of physical security systems
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work successfully with internal and external customers in a professional manner
