Job Summary

The Project Manager is part of the Wickliffe Site Vision Team and is responsible for renovation and infrastructure projects throughout the site. The work primarily involves capital project and maintenance-related expense work while supporting other Project Engineers, area Process Engineers, and the Facilities Maintenance group.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as the project leader for a significant project workload with responsibility for meeting the objectives of assigned projects within approved budgets
  • Meets with the customer(s) to understand their needs and scope the work necessary to accomplish project objectives
  • Prepares and submits requests for capital including detailed scopes, cost estimates, and all other supporting documents
  • Prepares sketches and works with CAD personnel to develop project drawings
  • Develops scopes of work and equipment specifications; conducts bid meetings with contractors, reviews proposals and vendor quotes, and makes selections for purchase
  • Follows up to ensure AHJ permits are secured in advance of the work
  • Coordinates installation with the project customer or other affected site areas
  • Follows up with maintenance crews and contractors to verify that installation work is proceeding safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications
  • Project management work includes setting up projects in SAP, prepare purchase requisitions, develop project schedules, provide periodic status reports, and complete project close out reports
  • Provides technical assistance to the operating and maintenance areas assigned as requested
  • Maintains a working knowledge of codes and standards that apply to the construction industry, including OSHA regulations, International Building and Mechanical Codes, International Fire Code, Ohio EPA regulations, and NFPA standards
  • May include 2nd or 3rd shift support
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement (OPEX) projects
  • Enforces Lubrizol Wickliffe Safety, Corporate, and Financial Policies

 

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial or commercial construction management experience
  • Project management experience, with an established track record of successful projects; project management experience must be in engineering or construction

 

Considered a Plus:

  • Professional Management Professional (PMP®) by Project Management Institute
  • Experience in the Chemical or Waste Treatment industry
  • SAP Experience

 

Working Conditions

  • Lifting to head up to 10 pounds; lifting to waist up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception
  • Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection
