Description 

The Wickliffe Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling all non-emergency maintenance work for the HVAC department. As the planner, this individual will develop job plans for all notifications detailing manpower, task durations, supporting crafts, parts/materials, and equipment. As a scheduler this individual will function as a liaison between internal customers and maintenance to coordinate all planned work.

 

Essential Job Functions   

  • Evaluate all non-emergency maintenance notifications to create work orders with step-by-step instructions for completing the request.
  • Function as a liaison between Customers and Maintenance to coordinate all planned work.
  • Create a Weekly Schedule and modify daily throughout the week.
  • Work with Operations and Maintenance staff to develop preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment throughout the mechanical testing areas.
  • Responsible for both long- and short-term maintenance planning.
  • Prepare detailed task lists and materials for shut down work.
  • Work with stores to develop and update BOM’s (Bill of Material).
  • Work with the Maintenance data analyst to keep Functional Locations and Equipment info up to date in SAP.
  • Evaluate completed work orders for accuracy and close out.
  • Point of contact for outside vendors and services utilized for planned maintenance activities.
  • Enforcement of Wickliffe Engineering Standards for maintenance work.
  • Work with Technical Leader and Supervisor for scheduling project work as needed.

Education / Certification 

  • High School Diploma

Experience and Skills 

  • 5 years of experience working in a maintenance related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors and contractors.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and manage multiple objectives and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Good computer skills including experience with Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to read prints/drawings (P&ID’s)

Considered a Plus

  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Experience in SAP (ECC or S4 HANA versions)
  • 2-year technical or 4-year degree.
  • Commercial HVAC experience.

 Supervisory Responsibility

  • This role does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities; however, it is a highly visible role and leadership qualities are required in guiding the technicians and outside contractors in policy, procedures, and standards.

Empowerment & Decision Making 

  • Maintenance Planner/Scheduler has the authority to approve the contractor and services for their jobs. They obtain quotes from vendors, evaluate, and award jobs. They have approval to sign invoices supported by purchase orders for amounts up to $5,000.
