The Lubrizol Corporation, headquartered in Wickliffe, OH, has an opening for an Intellectual Property Docket Clerk to support Lubrizol’s global business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Docket US and foreign patent actions, formation, deadlines and invoices.
  • Provide attorneys with monthly docket to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage Annuity Management System which handles the annuity service data transfer of US and foreign patent annuities.
  • Run reports for quarterly meeting and input decisions into electronic docket system (CPI).
  • Manage USPTO and EPO deposit accounts.
  • Code invoices for attorneys/paralegals to submit to Accounts Payable.
  • Prepare correspondence to foreign associates on behalf of the attorneys.
  • Actively maintain and input into electronic filing system such as Sharepoint IP databases.
  • Provide miscellaneous CPI reports as needed by managers and attorneys. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in docketing intellectual property matters in a law firm or corporation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and complete them under time constraints
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficient experience in software and hardware including CPI or equivalent docketing system, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Considered a plus:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in paralegal studies
  • Experience with Access and/or S4HANA
