The Lubrizol Corporation's Global Operations team is committed to operations excellence through Engineering Standard development and deployment to achieve our company goals of Process Safety, Mechanical Integrity and Reliability, Sustainability, Capital management and deployment, and Process Digitalization. This Engineering Director will report directly to the VP, Manufacturing Technology and will develop the Engineering team, standards, and processes to effectively meet the team’s goals for Lubrizol’s goals and strategies.

 

Accountability Statement: Define and develop the Engineering Standards, Skill sets and Processes to deliver Lubrizol’s goals for Process Safety, Mechanical Integrity and Reliability, Sustainability, Capital management and deployment, and Process Digitalization.

 

Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership for global capital portfolio development, management and reporting with Global Finance and the Business leadership.
  • Define Work Processes, Tools and Org to support and deliver most cost-effective capital project execution and deployment.
  • With HSES and Manufacturing leadership, define Work Processes, Standards, Tools and Org to deliver top quartile Process Safety and Mechanical Integrity and Reliability
  • In partnership with Sustainability VP and Company Leadership, deliver the tools, standards and team to achieve the Sustainability targets for Lubrizol.
  • In partnership with CIO, IT and Manufacturing, define team and standards to deploy Process Automation / Digitalization that leverages and maximizes Manufacturing 4.0 opportunities for Lubrizol.  This includes appropriate process or mechanical modeling capabilities with the Process Technology teams.

 

Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MS or MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience in Global Engineering Leadership role.
  • Experience in global work process development, deployment, aligned with business target delivery.
  • Prior change management experience with driving teams from current state to new level of delivery with new standards, work processes and KPIs
  • Experience of chemical process capital project execution across multiple geographies.
  • Candidates with prior expat assignments will be given preference.
  • Previous demonstration in roles to interact with all levels of the organization.
