Global Communications Intern (Summer 2023)

Job Description

Lubrizol offers a variety of internship opportunities for students in our Information Solutions department. During your internship, you will work closely with experienced professionals as an active member of a diverse and innovative team. This opportunity will provide you with real-world experience to bring to your future full-time career. As a member of the program, you will explore a variety of opportunities in the main areas of our department: Global Communications and Creative Project Services. 

Writing Services 

• Develop content required for various internal and external communication projects. 

• Examples of internal projects: Lubrizol News articles, video scripts, company emails, corporate biographies, PowerPoint presentations, etc. 

• Examples of external projects: Corporate presentations, talking points, website content, social media content, etc. 

• Provide editing capabilities for various communication materials. 

Project Management 

• Responsible for project management including job initiation, working with internal and external resources, project timing, managing project budget, etc. 

Research/Other 

• Establish and monitor metrics for corporate campaigns, intranet website usage, etc. 
• Generate reports using data from integrated campaigns highlighting successes, learnings, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Evaluate new communication trends and best practices. 
• Assist with CEO Town Hall Meeting planning. 

Social Media 

• Generate and post corporate content. 
• Provide guidance to businesses on content posting methods. 
• Collaborate with graphic designers to develop compelling, disruptive, on brand, creative assets to support social media posts. 

Qualifications 

• Active student pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, mass media, marketing, or a related field. 
• Students with a 3.0 or greater GPA will be given priority consideration. 
• Reliable source of transportation. (Required)  

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
