Lubrizol is currently seeking a collaborative Financial Analyst to support LZA Americas Business unit. In this role you will be providing actionable, value creating financial insights to drive achievement of Lubrizol Americas’ business objectives. This role will be based out of our Wickliffe, Ohio facility, following a hybrid working model. 

 

What you will do:

  • Serve as a finance partner to our Americas Sales and Commercial Teams, developing an understanding of the business and providing the financial perspective to the commercial decision-making process.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate financial performance on monthly and quarterly basis.  Research and communicate variances and ensure accurate financial statements.  Provide timely, concise, and actionable insights the team. 
  • Support account teams in raw material and pricing discussions, providing analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Aid in account planning to identify threats and opportunities. Support account teams in RFQ’s to grow and defend business portfolio.
  • Work as a “liaison” to Lubrizol corporate finance.
  • Assist in the coordination, development, and analysis of the annual plan for volume, margin, and operating expenses. 
  • Partner with account team on contract management, including supply contracts and sales incentive agreements. Direct and ensure accurate accounting for contractual obligations.
  • Special projects as assigned.

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in varied financial / analytical positions
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting
  • Excellent systems and financial modeling skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with a desire to achieve
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player, able to work well with people at all levels and across functions
  • Well organized, flexible, ability to multi-task
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required

 

What will put you ahead:

  • CPA and/or MBA or equivalent
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Power Pivot / Power BI
  • Experience with Anaplan
