Lubrizol has an opening for an Applications Control Engineer to join our Information Solutions team. This is a new role that will be part of a global team responsible for continuous operation, performance and strategic planning of enterprise client infrastructure running Windows and Android operating systems.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for providing technical design, implementation, and management of Lubrizol’s application control solutions. The position will also include engineering support and duties related to Lubrizol’s standard Operating Systems, OS Deployment, Client Browsers, Enterprise Applications, Group Policy, Registry, Certificates, Microsoft Encryption/BitLocker, and Windows Defender Security.

This role can follow a hybrid working model, and be based at our Global Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH or our corporate headquarters in Brecksville, OH.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain a strategic application control approach
  • Design, build and maintain effective adaptive application controls including enforcement, exception, monitoring, and audit processes
  • Work closely with other service groups within the IT organization to ensure efficient and effective resolution of support requests, incidents, and problems
  • Provide tier 3 support
  • Provide clear and precise technical process and end user facing documentation
  • Follow ITSM methodology to manage support requests, incidents, and problems
  • Coordinate service/support needs with vendors, technical engineers, service, and application owners
  • Effectively communicate issues and resolutions

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant IT experience with at least two (2) years of hands-on adaptive application control products
  • Established expertise in building an application control platform specific to company business processes, assets, and stakeholders
  • Experience implementing secure and effective application exception policies
  • Experience in application control security, risk management, standards, and procedures, etc.
  • Working knowledge of one or more application control products, for example: Microsoft Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC), Microsoft AppLocker, AppGuard, VMWare Carbon Black, McAfee Application Control, BeyondTrust Application Control, or Broadcom Endpoint Security
  • Understanding of NIST and CIS cybersecurity standards and framework
