Summary of Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician ensures the maintenance of production equipment within his own expertise, in order to guarantee the availability and accuracy of themost safe production equipment. 

The Maintenance Technician contributes by providing technical expertise concerning the maintenance of equipment in order to ensure the continuous production process in the plant.

Essential Job Functions  

• Guarantee the operational reliability of mechanical equipment
• Availability and accuracy of mechanical equipment information
• Compliance with the plant’s safety procedures
• Detect mechanical problems and make suggestions for improvement
• Execute accountabilities in accordance with plant safety, quality and environmental guidelines
• Reduce of technical breakdown
• Reduce of emergency maintenance
• Reduce of maintenance cost
• Reduce of on-the-job accidents
• Up-to-date of mechanical equipment information
• Complete and correct information concerning necessary spare parts

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

• Minimum A2 in electro-mechanics or equal by experience
• At least 2 years of experience within a production environment
• Good knowledge of general mechanical equipment (pump, pneumatics, hydraulics,…)
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English
