Lubrizol is seeking an experienced Plant Manager with Medical Device ISO13485 background to support our BMT, Germany location, on-site. You will work closely with the Senior Global Director Operation to lead the operations organization, manage operations performance objectives, and support business strategy. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
In this role, you should have progressive experience in medical device production environment, mechanical, assembly or other industrial assembly. Catheter and balloon technology experience is a plus. You'll lead operations performance improvements, critical projects and work collaboratively across a large variety of functions to drive results. You will support business revenue and the annual operations budget, so previous experience working with budgets is needed.
The primary responsibility of the Plant Manager is to direct single-site manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors; including production, engineering, maintenance, quality and other manufacturing-related activities, to ensure operational performance with respect to quality, cost and delivery; continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of manpower, materials, machines and business excellence in customer and employee satisfaction, but not limited to the above.

Lead all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and safety.

Develop and execute strategic plans that improve operational performance and support business objectives.

Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage plant budgets, resource allocation, equipment reliability, and manufacturing performance indicators.

Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 requirements and applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering an accountable and inclusive culture.

Lead organizational transformation initiatives that strengthen capabilities, behaviors, and operational effectiveness.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support growth, productivity, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience within a medical device manufacturing environment.

Experience managing plant operations, manufacturing, engineering, and/or production organizations.

Demonstrated success improving operational performance and leading plant turnaround initiatives.

Knowledge of ISO 13485 quality systems and regulated medical device manufacturing environments.

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong budget management, analytical, communication, and change leadership skills.

Professional fluency in English and German.

This role is based on-site in a medical device manufacturing environment and requires adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided as required.
