ROLE Summary: 

The Compliance & IR Legal at Lubrizol will be responsible to lead and manage administration of all human resources compliance and manage any support on legal matters pertaining to employee related aspects. He/she will be responsible to drive compliance pertaining to HR policies and procedures, statutory aspects related to state and Central legislative adherence and ensure that Lubrizol is compliant in matters relating to direct employees & contract Labour compliance. He/she will Support the HR Head and HR Partners in promoting open communication,
and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

Quality & Sustenance

  • Implementing, and managing organization’s compliance standards.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing of company policies, rules and regulations in compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • To find out the non-compliance issues by the daily monitoring & internal audit in the factory. 
  • Strictly adhere to the Laws applicable to the Establishment and Factory. • Monitor and interpret Central and State labour laws regulations and Factory laws to ensure the organizations compliance with all labour & factory related requirements
  • Continuously evaluate HR compliance, processes, and policies for improvements, proactively developing and implementing practical solutions
  • Stay abreast of Central, State, and Local employment laws and regulations, ensuring that all Central, State and Local required norms are percolated to HR colleagues and adhered to.

 

Reporting & Audit

  • Preparing and presenting clear and concise compliance reports to the HR Head for Board/management Meetings with certain periodicity and basis requirement.
  • Coordinating efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations.
  • Program Prepare and keep the documentation related to audit and compliance.
  • Manage responses to internal and external reporting requests, audits, and assessments, including state and Central reporting requirements.
  • Conduct internal audit in the light of Labor Law, Factory related matters, COC & other national & state related matters.
  • Making routine wise Statutory compliance checklist and make report.
  • Manage all returns under various Labour Laws & factory laws.

 

External Internal Stakeholder Management & Advise on Legal & statutory matters

  • Interacting with regulators on compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to HR Head & HR Partners on labour & factory related matters including employment contracts workplace policies and disciplinary actions
  • Give Suggestions to the management regarding several important pronouncement and decisions of Law & other COC.
  • Assist HR team to Conduct in house training for all employees on POSHA and any other HR compliance related training as advised by factory management or Head HR
  • Review and update all legal documents/certificate/license time to time by communicating with the specific authorities.
  • Update to management all compliance reports in regular interval etc.
  • Regularly interact and manage Compliance Partners and get all the reports, compliance transactions managed.
  • Follow up with Compliance Partner to ensure timely submission of reply to letters and records/ data and request requisite acknowledgement(s) for the organistion
  • Representation in all the labour & factory related disputes at the central/state labour office.


IR Legal

  • Work together with IR Specialist, HR Partner & Plant manager in maintaining continuous dialogue with unions to ensure smooth operations of manufacturing plants
  • Support Head HR & HRP in representing Lubrizol in the collective bargaining / Long term settlement negotiations with union / union representatives, by offering labor law related expertise on matters.
  • Support Head HR & work with HRP in Mediating conflicts between employees and/or between employees and management to achieve resolutions that are fair and in line with company values.

 

Experience

  • Should have minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing compliance & IR legal for a Factory organisation.
  • Handon and expert knowledge w.r.t to Factory’s Act. CLRA. PF, ESIC, establishment licence etc.
  • Knowledge of licensing & certifications application or renewal procedure (DIC DISH MIDC MPCB EC FOREST Municipal corporation MSEB etc.)
  • Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail
