Chemical Engineer Apprentice

Summary of the Role:

The Chemical Engineer Apprentice will assist the HSES team in Process Safety Management (PSM) through real‑time exposure to Turbhe plant operations. The apprentice will support implementation of PSM elements, PHA studies, field verification, and documentation—building competency aligned with site regulatory requirements and corporate PSM systems.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:  

• Support PHA/HAZOP preparation for Turbhe units—including walkdowns, data collection, Node preparation and action tracking.
• Support as Scriber on PHAWorks tool during HAZOP session.
• Coordinate with Operations, Projects, and Maintenance for various PSM topics.
• Support to maintain SharePoint‑based PSI libraries as per LZAI standards.
• Support internal audits, corporate HSES audits, and risk‑based PSM gap assessments.
• Assist in updating SOPs, emergency procedures, and safe‑work practices for Turbhe plant units.

• Assist in updating P&IDs, equipment tags, PSVs, tank safety documents, and chemical hazard data specific to Turbhe operations

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

• Basic understanding of P&IDs, SDS, and engineering basics. Passed out within the last 2-3 years.

Education / Certification:

Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
