ACCOUNTABILITY:

This role is to develop and maintain effective and service-oriented relationships with assigned customers to achieve profitable business. He/she needs to work with internal and external teams to provide valued products, generate and deliver value proposition to customers including key global and local accounts. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be equipped and updated with products and technical knowledge
  • Use company system and tools to record and update customer profile, demand rolling forecast, customer call reports and opportunity progress
  • Actively collect information of customer dynamic and competitive intel, identify customer needs and coordinate for a solution
  • Lead and coordinate with internal business groups and functions (technology, product management, supply chain etc.) to provide high quality market insight, technical and supply chain services for the customer
  • Work close with global account manager to ensure alignment on global customer strategy and activities for specific account
  • Assist in the collection of receivables as necessary
  • Actively coordinate and communicate to resolve product integrity issues
  • Achieve customer intimacy across multiple level and different functions
  • Understand customer strategy as well as business plan and accordingly build effective customer plan by alignment with internal stakeholder including product line strategy and supply chain value proposition
  • Align sales objectives with internal stakeholders, coordinate and lead the internal efforts to deliver results
  • Proactively set up sales, supply chain or other systematic approach to ensure effectively working with customer
  • Build trust and retain long-term relationship with key customer contacts, including middle and senior level

 

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

 

  • Education Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in chemistry, mechanical / automotive engineering, or related or related field
  • Technical Skills:
    • Prefer to have technical or sales background in oil additive industry experience
  • Other Experiences Preferred:
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience in chemical industry
    • Proactive and self-motivator with strong sense of ownership
    • Self-driving and result oriented
    • Good team player
    • Positive thinker under facing challenging circumstances
    • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time with high quality
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
    • Ability to engage with others in both Japanese and English, verbally and writing
    • Able to travel within/out Japan
