How You’ll Make an Impact 

As a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer – Mechanical, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving equipment reliability, operational excellence, and safety performance across plant operations. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will: 

  • Lead and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to safely execute mechanical maintenance activities. 
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for rotary and static equipment. 
  • Drive Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve asset performance. 
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions for recurring failures. 
  • Monitor equipment reliability metrics including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and asset availability. 
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, design modifications, and process improvements to eliminate chronic issues. 
  • Optimize critical spare parts management and coordinate procurement activities. 
  • Champion safety through risk assessments, Gemba walks, toolbox talks, and compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements. 
  • Develop maintenance strategies, inspection plans, and work order management through SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM). 
  • Train technicians and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless plant operations. 

 

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute. 
  • 10 to 12 years of experience with 8 to 10 years in mechanical maintenance and reliability engineering within the specialty chemical or process industry. 
  • Hands-on experience with rotary equipment including pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and mechanical seals. 
  • Hands-on experience with static equipment including heat exchangers, vessels, and piping systems. 
  • Strong expertise in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability improvement. 
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication management. 
  • Experience with shutdown planning and execution. 
  • Proficiency in SAP systems, preferably SAP PM. 
  • Knowledge of mechanical seal selection, installation, and failure analysis. 

 

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward 

  • Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level II certification or higher. 
  • Understanding of API and ASTM standards. 
  • Experience in energy efficient plant installations and commissioning. 
  • Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 management systems.
