How You’ll Make an Impact

As Synthesis Scientist,you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, setting up the new TPU synthesis technology pathway, providing the new type of TPU formulation and modification of existing product portfolio to support the application development requirements, and enable the new product sales targets achievable in APAC by working closely with marketing team / application development team with new product solution. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

• Define the planning and prioritization of projects and manage the execution of the plan in line with Estane’s project guidelines, ensure that project objectives, deliverables, and milestones are met, within the agreed budget, timing and quality standards
• Lead TPU synthesis technology development via molecular designing, ensure the new technology/product delivery in accordance with agreed upon deadline
• Contribute to implement technology development strategy with TPU synthesis, ensure the IP strategy to align with business strategy
• Identify the new opportunities with TPU synthesis technology, Setup the development roadmap for TPU synthesis technology
• Set up the test plan and lead to perform laboratory work, deliver quality data to support technical projects development
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, enhance the co-work together with application development team, compounding development team. Keeping communication with Lubrizol technical community globally
• Provide technical support to TPU production team, ensure the new product /recipe pilot run and MA run successfully
• Be responsible for the improvement of efficiency and safe operation of the lab, continuously develop necessary lab capability to fulfil the overall technology development needs.

Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success

• Education Background:Doctor degree, Major in polymers science or Chemistry
• Technical Skills:In-Depth understanding of polymer structure-property relationship
• 5+ years (including master/Phd.) of polymer synthesis and characterization experience. With polymer processing knowledge will be a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem anticipation & solving skills
• Innovative, ability to think outside the box and generate creative approaches
• Other Experiences Preferred:
• Excellent interpersonal, Verbal &written communication, presentation and listening skills, Ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences
• Highly motivated towards goals & objectives
• Excellent organization and planning skills
