ROLE:

Conduct assigned duties in relation to Plant Operator, complete assigned tasks and discharge of responsibilities per Lubrizol policies and practices in:

  • A timely manner and without delay to operations.
  • Per established Lubrizol or established industry standards.
  • A reasonable timeframe, any reasonable task as requested by Manager or delegate.
  • Per Lubrizol HSES policies, practices and standards.
  • A safe manner and to mitigate all reasonably identified risks per Lubrizol process, procedures and work instruction.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operations

  • Drums and IBC filling
  • Charging liquid or solid into blending tanks
  • Forklift operation such as moving pallets of drums/IBC’s, loading/unloading trucks and containers.
  • House/ground keeping including, painting, cleaning and tanks cleaning.

 

Administration

  • Entering records and completing forms

 

HSES

  • Conduct all activities in accordance with the Lubrizol Quality Management System, pertaining to items in HSES – Health, Safety, Environmental and Security.

 

Extended Responsibility   

  • Conduct and complete any project or task which are reasonably asked and expected by Manager
  • Ability to conduct tasks accurately, efficiently and safely

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in manufacturing plant and/or operations
  • Forklift License
  • Driver’s License
  • SAP Experience preferred but not essential
  • Boiler attendance certificate preferred but not essential
  • Confined space certificate preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work as a team player with good attitude
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels both internal and external
  • Demonstrate ability read MSDS and ability to use appropriate PPE.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude on the operation of pumps, valves reading pressure, temperature controls.
  • Ability to carry out and follow written work procedures/ instructions.
  • Ability to complete forms.
  • Ability to use computer for training, extract documents, use emails and intrane

 

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have a current police check,
  • complete a pre employment medical screening,
  • initially be placed on a probationary period, and
  • will be required to complete practice skills during the interview.
