Summary
The Regional Core Master Data Supervisor position is accountable for Ensuring accurate customer, vendor and material master data in support of SAP business transactions, in a cost-efficient way. This role works closely with internal parties including the Trade Compliance and Master Data Center of Excellence and global contacts in Operations, Supply Chain, Information Technology and business leaders. This role reports to the Sr Global Manager Core Master Data. This role may have responsibilities as a global process lead.
Responsibilities
- Coach and train team members with questions and problem solving for master data related setup and change requests. Monitor and manage performance of Master Data Advisors, including designing metrics and KPI's (key performance indicators) to measure performance. Assist the team in day-to-day request handling and provide back-up support.
- Identify and lead or collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, including process improvement efforts, and automation and digitalization of master data processes in close collaboration with the MD&TC COE.
- Develop standard global processes for the relevant functional area (customer/vendor, material, and pricing), establish and manage governance, and develop and maintain training materials in close collaboration with the MD&TC COE.
- Act as a master data representative in larger projects in adjacent areas/integration projects. Assess impact of changes on MD organization and LZ.
- Develop, generate and maintain standardized reports for stakeholders and internal usage in close collaboration with the MD&TC COE.
- Act as lead for external audits and identifying and implementing corrective action. Lead implementation of corrective actions.
- May be assigned the added responsibility of BPL (Business Process Leader).
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, technical, Supply Chain, or other related fields or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of master data processes, critical data elements, and Lubrizol systems in multiple functional areas, experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of Master Data tables and fields and processes across different functional areas (End-to-End), experience preferred.
- Detailed technical knowledge of one or more system (e.g. SAP, CMRP, SAR, QAD…). Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and/or develop systems individually.
- Knowledge of principles and technology of one or more digital tools (MS Forms, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint, DataLake, RPA's, InfoSteward) used within Master Data.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing external audits. Ability to assess compliance with policies/procedures. Ability to identify issues and root causes. Ability to propose and execute corrective actions.
- Deep understanding of a variety of analytical tools and techniques including knowledge of Lubrizol reporting tools.
- Experience with managing regional teams and processes is preferred.
- Proficient in English

- Effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders. Ability to provide effective training to internal and external MD stakeholders. Strong communication skills up, down and across the organization.
- Inspirational and decisive leadership to timely and effectively execute projects. Identify necessary resources, implement effective change management and ability to prioritize based on impact assessment. Strong communication with internal and external MD stakeholders throughout implementation timeline.
- Act or serve as process lead.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to external auditor and leadership.
