Lubrizol is looking for a Network Delivery Engineer to join our IT team who will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of network solutions, ensuring projects are designed, implemented, tested, and handed over to operations in line with business, security, and service requirements. The role bridges network design, project delivery, and operational readiness, working closely with architecture, security, vendors, and operations teams. Core Responsibilities:

 

Deployment & Design Implementation: Deliver LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Centre, and Cloud connectivity solutions aligned to approved designs and standards. Implement network changes including new site deployments, migrations, upgrades, and decommissions. Configure and deploy network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers). Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience in all delivered solutions.

 

Project Delivery & Change Management: Own network delivery activities for assigned projects from initiation to handover. Work with Project Managers to meet delivery timelines, scope, and quality expectations. Produce and maintain delivery documentation including HLD/LLD, implementation plans, and rollback procedures. Raise, review, and implement changes through formal change control (CAB) processes.

 

Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Collaborate with internal teams (Architecture, Security, Operations, Cloud, Applications). Coordinate with third-party vendors, MSPs, and telecom providers for circuit delivery and on-site works. Act as the technical point of contact during delivery phases.

 

Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with security policies, regulatory standards, and best practices. Implement security controls including segmentation, firewall rules, VPNs, and access controls. Support security reviews, audits, and vulnerability remediation activities.

 

Operational Readiness & Continuous Improvement: Identify delivery risks and proactively propose mitigation strategies. Contribute to standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Providing technical support, resolving incidents, and acting as an escalation point for complex network problems whilst working with Network Operations team. Support major incidents related to delivered solutions when required.

 

Testing, Validation & Handover: Conduct pre-deployment testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation validation. Ensure monitoring, alerting, and operational support requirements are embedded prior to handover. Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to Network Operations team.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze emerging network solutions and propose updated technology solutions based on business requirements and industry technology trends.
  • Identify potential network risks and provide effective long-term technical solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Design/configure existing network solutions that meet or exceed business requirements following documented standards.
  • Provide leadership/collaboration to Network Operations to enable their success in delivering global network solutions.
  • Troubleshoot High Level Network Faults.

 

Requirements:

  • IT related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (eight years’ experience in Network / IT Infrastructure roles acceptable)
  • At least 8+ years of experience supporting a global network environment across various Network Domains (Firewalls/SD-WAN/F5).
  • Strong experience in implementing & troubleshooting Network Architectures in Azure/GCP/AWS preferably in a hybrid setup.
  • Demonstrated capability with TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS and DHCP
  • Experience troubleshooting, implementing and configuring the following:
    • Mixed Internet/MPLS WAN environment
    • Datacenter migration
    • Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
    • Switching, wireless and firewall technologies (eg. Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, etc…)
    • Routing/SD-WAN experience (eg. VeloCloud, Meraki, etc…)

 

  • Working knowledge of the following:
    • Network security technologies such as VPN, TACACS+, RADIUS, NAC
    • Network protocol analysis and troubleshooting using various tools (e.g. Wireshark) and equipment for root cause determination
  • Experience with technical crisis & major incident management
  • Experience with change advisory board (CAB) procedures
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Experience deploying and supporting SD-WAN Architecture (For e.g. VeloCloud/Fortinet/Cisco Viptela)
  • Experience deploying and supporting Meraki Infrastructure & Wireless Technologies.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center
  • Experience deploying and supporting Aruba ClearPass
  • Demonstrated capability relative to the network scripting and programming/automation space including:
    • API Programming
    • Python / Ansible / GIT
    • Linux
  • Experience building relationships and working in a collaborative, matrix-driven, global environment
