If so, we want you on our team! Lubrizol is currently looking for a motivated and passionate Account Manager to join our  Personal Home & Healthcare Division (PHHC). In this role, you will be responsible for representing the sale of solutions (products, concepts, and services) for bath & shower, hair care, skin care (non-actives) and home care markets. This is a remote role, ideally based in the southern California region. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned accounts and territories.
  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing.
  • Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally. 
  • Develop and implement aggressive sales plans at the territory and account level.
  • Effectively communicate with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations group.
  • Develop, negotiate, and close sales contracts and agreements.
  • Create and implement account plans that are well aligned with the business strategy.
  • Comply with administrative requirements (call reports, forecasting, expense reports, etc.).
  • Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association, demand planning, and regional marketing meetings.
  • Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value opportunities.
  • Develop and manage annual territory budget.
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing applications, identify and support the launch of new products.  

 

Skills That Make A Difference:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in engineering or science (ex, chemistry, biology, physics, etc)
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities pertinent to the focus markets.
  • Willing and able to travel 35% of the time.
  • Tactical and strategic thinking and business acumen skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong drive for results.
  • Demonstrated successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs.
