Systems Engineer – Next-Generation Infrastructure
Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Systems Engineer to join our Global IT Infrastructure team. This role is designed for engineers who want to grow into broader infrastructure and platform engineering responsibilities through hands-on experience, mentoring, and continuous learning. The position goes beyond traditional systems administration—focusing on automation, cloud modernization, AI-assisted operations, and resilient infrastructure design. This engineer will help evolve our environment as we adopt emerging technologies, enhance service reliability, and accelerate delivery through automation.
Key Responsibilities
Core Infrastructure Engineering
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-premises datacenters, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
Manage Windows and Linux server platforms, virtualization stacks (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, and enterprise backup and recovery platforms.
Support compute, network, and security components to meet organizational performance and availability requirements.
Cloud & Hybrid Architecture
Engineer and support workloads across Azure, AWS, or hybrid multi-cloud platforms.
Develop and maintain landing zones, resource blueprints, cloud governance, tagging strategies, and cost-optimization practices.
Implement cloud-native services such as container orchestration, managed databases, serverless compute, and edge integrations.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Build and manage infrastructure using ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell DSC.
Implement CI/CD workflows for infrastructure provisioning and configuration changes.
Apply version control, code review, and automated testing to infrastructure deployments.
AI-Driven Operations (AIOps)
Support monitoring and observability platforms enhanced with AI/ML insights (e.g., Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk).
Leverage AI copilots or automation engines for incident detection, self-healing, capacity prediction, and root-cause analysis.
Build or integrate AI-based runbooks and workflows for proactive problem prevention.
Automation & Low-Code Development
Design workflow automation using Power Automate, Logic Apps, or similar low/no-code platforms.
Develop PowerShell or Python-based automation to streamline infrastructure tasks.
Collaborate with business and operations teams to convert manual tasks into automated workflows.
Operational Excellence & Technical Growth
Participate in the resolution of complex infrastructure incidents, working alongside senior engineers and architects.
Contribute to modernization initiatives and provide input into architectural recommendations under guidance from senior staff.
Document standards, runbooks, reference architectures, and operational procedures.
Continuously build technical depth and contribute to team skill development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Overall 10-12 Years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles in Cloud Data Center
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking fundamentals, and storage technologies, particularly HPE and Pure Storage

- Experience administering Horizon VDI environments, Azure Virtual Desktops and Microsoft M365 Cloud PC’s
- Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience or exposure to Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, or DSC).
- Familiarity with observability platforms and AIOps concepts.
- Understanding security best practices, identity and access management, and zero-trust principles.
Preferred / Emerging Skills
- Experience with low-code platforms such as Power Apps or Logic Apps.
- Exposure to M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or AI-assisted tools for IT operations.
Attributes for Success
Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn emerging technologies.
Strong communicator and collaborator across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
