Summary of the Role
Lubrizol is seeking an experienced Senior Sitecore Developer to support, enhance, and maintain Lubrizol.com and related website development initiatives. This role will take primary responsibility for the design, development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Sitecore-based digital experiences, ensuring the platform remains stable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of relevant experience in enterprise website development, including strong hands-on expertise with Sitecore CMS, .NET/C#, and modern web technologies.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Lead the development, enhancement, and technical support of Lubrizol.com and related Sitecore-based web properties.
- Build and maintain Sitecore components, templates, layouts, workflows, and page structures to support evolving business and marketing requirements.
- Develop front-end and back-end solutions using Sitecore, C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
- Support modern Sitecore implementation patterns, including headless architecture and Next.js-based experiences where applicable.
- Manage integrations between Sitecore and enterprise systems such as SharePoint, CRM Dynamics, and search/indexing services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues related to performance, functionality, releases, and production incidents to ensure a reliable external digital presence.
- Partner with infrastructure, QA, DevOps, content, UX, marketing, and external vendors to deliver website updates and improvements.
- Support deployment, release validation, debugging, documentation, and technical quality practices across environments.
- Monitor system health and contribute to corrective and preventive actions that improve website resilience and operational stability.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise expectations for performance, maintainability, governance, and user experience.
Education / Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Sitecore certification is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- About 7 to 8 years of relevant experience in web application development, with strong hands-on experience in Sitecore CMS development and support.
- Strong expertise in Sitecore CMS architecture, templates, components, layouts, workflows, and configuration.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Next.js and modern web delivery approaches for Sitecore solutions.
- Experience with headless CMS, GraphQL, React, or related digital experience platform capabilities.
- Familiarity with website accessibility, SEO, analytics, and content discoverability considerations.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, code deployment, and release management.
- Familiarity with Sitecore Content Serialization (SCS), Unicorn, or any other similar serialization tools.
- Experience integrating Sitecore with enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, CRM Dynamics, and search solutions like Solr.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
