Summary of the Role:
Lubrizol is looking for Network Operations Administrators to join our IT team and support the ongoing operation, implementation, and sustainability of a secure network infrastructure at Lubrizol’s 80+ facilities around the world.  This is an exciting time to join our organization, as we have a renewed focus on ensuring operational excellence and cyber security within the organization – given this, we’re looking for motivated problem solvers who enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment to support growth and development in these areas. 

Responsibilities:  
•    Support the broader transition of Lubrizol's existing traditional network landscape to the next generation of the network which includes Software Defined Network, Cloud Network Infrastructure and Automation of Network Services
•    Support and implement existing Network solutions and updated technology solutions based on business requirements and industry technology trends
•    Configure and support Network solutions that meet or exceed business requirements that follow documented standards.
•    Take technical direction from Network Engineering team to enable success in delivering global network solutions
•    Follow and support documentation of new network solutions through to successful deployments
•    Manage ongoing operations queue, escalating or transferring incidents and tasks as appropriate
•    Troubleshoot 1st & 2nd Level Networking issues

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
•    5 years of IT experience with at least 2+ years of experience supporting a global network environment
•    Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS and DHCP
•    Ability to troubleshoot, implement and configure the following:
o    Mixed VPN/MPLS WAN environment
o    Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
o    Switching, wireless and firewall technologies
•    Working knowledge of the following:
o    Network security technologies such as VPN, TACACS+, NAC
o    Network protocol analysis and troubleshooting using various tools (e.g. Wireshark) and equipment for root cause determination

Education / Certification:

•    IT related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience and Skills:  

What will put you ahead: 
•    Experience with ServiceNow, or equivalent ticketing system
•    Experience with SolarWinds, or equivalent monitoring platform
•    CCNA or CCNP certification 
•    Capability in network scripting and programming/automation space
•    Experience building relationships and working in a collaborative, matrix-driven, global environment
