Summary of the Role:
We are searching for a data system analyst to develop and implement seamless data flow across systems and support global rollout of information management systems.  In this role, you will support One Lubrizol global solutions for data lifecycle management to ensure successful data system implementation and utilization.

The Data System Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing, supporting, and continuously improving data systems and process workflows to support the Technology organization’s data management and design value stream needs. They work closely with stakeholders, data users, and technical teams to gather requirements, assess data system capabilities, and implement effective solutions. The Data System Analyst is responsible for ensuring that data systems are aligned with business objectives and enable efficient data processing, storage, retrieval, and analysis.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:  

• Collaborate with stakeholders, data users, and technical teams to gather and analyze data system requirements.
• Evaluate data management tools, technologies, and processes to support data system requirements.
• Develop and implement seamless data flow across systems and support global rollout of information management systems
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
• Collaborate with database administrators, data engineers, and other technical teams to ensure successful data system implementation.
• Support development of process maps, process documentation and process automation throughout design value stream.
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for system issues, working closely with technical teams to resolve problems.

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

Education / Certification: 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.

Experience and Skills:  

2+ years of industry experience with

• Proven experience as a Data System Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of data analysis methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, etc.) or other low-code/no-code platform.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data systems and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills needed to work with cross functional teams.
