PURPOSE:

The Technology Deployment Manager provides technical support on existing product application and manages product deployment projects for target customers and OEMs.  The successful candidate should have a proven track record of managing multiple technical projects, having strong interpersonal and communications skills, and working well in teams locally and globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop a deep understanding of Lubrizol products and technology in assigned areas to enable technology-based customer engagement and collaboration.
• In-depth study of technological needs for assigned applications and translate into design parameters and performance evaluation protocols. Lead or participate in innovative solutions development to meet OEM and customer requirement.
• Provide technical support and resolve application issues for assigned customers and OEMs. Technical presentations and trainings to customers
• Manage complex projects, involving colleagues from a range of departments/locations from initiation to successful completion, including project planning, defining project scope, objectives, milestones, resources and economics. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resource allocation and project success.
• Accurately collate, interpret, and present data. Effectively communicate project status to internal stakeholders and customers in assigned project areas.
• Coordinate activities related to quality/performance issue or customer complaints for LZ products.
• Represent Lubrizol’s interest at industry forums as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

• Chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related background. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in fuels and lubricants additives industry is preferred.
• Experience in customer technical support and product development area, preferably as a key player in account team.
• Effective project management skills, with good commercial sense.
• General knowledge of statistics, strong problem-solving skills.
• Fast learning and open-minded.
• Excellent communication in Mandarin and English, both oral and written.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
