ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

The Industrial Technology Deployment Manager (Metal Working) provides technical support on existing product application and manages product deployment/development projects for target customers and markets, specifically focusing on metal working fluid area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with target customers to understand their needs and explore opportunities. Deploy existing products and technologies to gain business growth.
  • Provide technical support to solve application issues and complaints from customers.
  • In-depth study of technological needs for target areas and translate into design parameters and performance evaluation protocols. Lead innovative solutions development to meet customer requirement.
  • Explore new areas and support new business development activities in target areas.
  • Coordination and full utilization of available lab resources to achieve project objectives. Set up new capabilities when necessary.
  • Project planning and implementation. Define project scope, objectives, milestones, resources, and economics. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resource allocation and project success.
  • Accurately collate, interpret, and present data. Effectively communicate project status to internal stakeholders and customers in assigned project areas.
  • Represent Lubrizol’s interest at industry forums as required.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related background. Master’s degree or above preferred.
  • 5+ years overall working experience in the field of metal working chemistries, preferred experience in customer technical support and product development area.
  • Effective project management skills, with good commercial sense.
  • General knowledge of statistics, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience as a key player in account team.
  • Fast learning and open-minded.
  • Excellent communication in Mandarin and English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
