        ACCOUNTABILITY:

The position is accountable for cultivating a culture and commitment to safety excellence while ensuring responsible and disciplined operations at China Songjiang site and Korea Bucheon tolling manufacturing site; continuously improving the people and organizational capability at the two sites; producing and delivering compliant products at targeted cost, quality and service levels from the two sites.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver HSES performance and KPIs of the two sites including people safety, process safety, safe production compliance, environmental compliance, occupational health by establishing, maintaining, and improving HSE managerial processes, systems, programs, and people capabilities
• Deliver the production volume based on annual operating plan and business demand with quality
• Ensure the reliability and operability of the site facility, infrastructure, utility, and equipment with maintenance and repair programs, processes, systems, and people capabilities
• Solve problems related to quality, product, and process with continuous improvement on quality and engineering process, methodologies and people capabilities
• Monitor the operations expense and capital investment projects to meet budget, timeline, and quality requirement
• Oversee continuous improvement and productivity optimization programs
• Provide leadership to the two site teams, including but not limited to performance management, engagement improvement, talent development, people capability improvement, and organization development
• Act as site leader for coordinating with cross functions and stakeholders such as business teams, labs on site, corporate functions, labor unions, and local government authorities etc., in site activities

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

Education & Professional Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or above with major in chemistry, chemical or mechanical engineering; MBA is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of production management experience in a chemical MNC environment
• Track record in successfully improving operations performance and organization capabilities
• Track record in working through complex organizational issues by managing various stakeholders

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge and rich practical experiences in chemical manufacturing process, material, equipment, and HSE
• Good knowledge in operations functional excellence, such as lean/6 sigma
• Good knowledge in Finance and cost management.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English
• Strong leadership skills in coaching and team development
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Open-minded for continuous improvement
• Fact-based and data-driven decision making
• Self-motivated, results oriented with high standard on performance
