PURPOSE:

This position ensures Lubrizol products comply with market-specific regulations across engineering polymers, personal care, home care, pharmaceutical, medical device, and lubricant-related applications in Asia Pacific. The role provides timely regulatory expertise, guidance, and support to internal and external customers on product safety and compliance matters throughout the product lifecycle, consistent with Responsible Care® principles for assigned business units.


RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance for products used in regulated end-use applications, including personal care, food & nutrition, pharmaceutical, medical device, and agriculture.
  • Conduct regulatory assessments and develop registration strategies, plans, and dossiers to support new products and product line extensions in Asia Pacific.
  • Drive regulatory and compliance considerations as part of commercial strategies for existing and new product launches.
  • Provide day-to-day regulatory support to internal and external customers, demonstrating Lubrizol's technical and regulatory expertise.
  • Monitor regulatory developments across Asia Pacific, assess business impacts, and develop compliance solutions.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of key chemistries and products within assigned businesses to proactively identify and communicate regulatory opportunities and risks.

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Food Science, Toxicology, Pharmacy, Medical Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of product stewardship or regulatory compliance experience in the chemical industry.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong results-driven mindset.

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

  • Knowledge of and experience with lubricant, coating, or ink products.
  • Knowledge of and experience in safety assessment.
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacy, Medical Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of global chemical regulations and hazard communication requirements.
  • Project leadership experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
