PURPOSE:

 

The MDM is responsible for new business growth including identifying & assessing new market opportunities, working with technical team to develop LZ solutions to meet market unmet needs, developing new business, analyzing & summarizing market reports and facilitating new products sales scale-up.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Deep understanding of composite and general industrial coating market. Build network with industry expertise across the value chain and coating associations.

 

  • Dig out market unmet needs by market analysis & intelligence. Assess market opportunities and build up new market development projects pipeline.

 

  • Work with technical team to identify & develop LZ solutions to meet market unmet needs. Lead project team to drive project success.

 

  • Work with regional marketing managers on new product cost analysis and pricing.

 

  • Develop initial successful commercial orders for new market development projects. Develop segment strategy plan and sales aids. Train sales team about new market knowledge.

 

  • Work with sales team and facilitate new product sales scale-up.

 

  • Support global marketing team on regional market information collection & analysis.

 

  • Support mar-com contents development & events execution.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Marketing /Business Development / Sales.
  • Working experience in coating industry strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of successful new business identification/development
  • Sound critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. Proactively presents issues with recommended solutions, implications and alternate options.
  • Compelling influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills – seeks win-win solutions.
  • Flexible and adaptable, tolerant of uncertainty inherent to dynamic business conditions and new product development.
  • Sound business analysis and project management skills.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Must be fluent in English – written, verbal, presentation
  • Travel frequency over 50%
