How You’ll Make an Impact

As Great China Marketing Manager, Skin Care & AI, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, developing & executing Great China growth strategy for skin care & active ingredient business in line with global strategy in a lean organization.

You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

  1. Develop market growth strategy to drive profitable business growth
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of current market trends and unmet needs leading to product positioning and value propositions we can offer to drive profitable business growth.
  • Keep a high awareness of dynamic market evolvement/competitive landscape to advocate and work with open innovation/technical team to develop 5 Yr innovation pipeline which drives for strengthen LZ position in skin care & active ingredient business.
  • Act as an effective bridge between regional and global key stakeholders, include but not limited to business, marketing, technical team and regulatory etc, to ensure a well-aligned and results-oriented team for a strong innovation pipeline development and implementation.
  • Identify gaps against current capabilities and develop action plans to address those gaps with sales and technical team.

 

  1. Drive commercialization of global projects to deliver results in the region
  • Lead voice of the customer interviews and new product previews in focused segments in conjunction with the global marketing team and local technical team.
  • Coordinate new products’ roll out and training for the sales team, equipping the sales team with up-to-date sales tools for effective market promotion.
  • Analyze and report pros and cons as well as improvement areas during post launch activities for new products

 

  1. Create “local for local” solutions to develop new business opportunities for China
  • Work closely with open innovation team and local technical team to identify, screen and develop appropriate product candidates
  • Evaluate and develop value proposition based on company innovation process, leading to a proper business case.  
  • Act as project leader to execute local launch of new concepts/products/services and share with global team to benefit other regions.   

 

  1. Drive local key customer development activities with sales team
  • Work closely with local team and provide leadership in customized new product development for key customers.
  • Review CRM opportunities pipeline with the sales team and participate in the commercialization of high value projects.
  • Actively searching for solutions to lift pain points from key customers and provide input to sales/technical team.
  • Provide guidance to the development of global strategic accounts and participate in the local workshop/in-house seminars as necessary.

 

  1. Participate in the industrial and consumer engagement activities
  • Work with regional marketing communication manager to develop multi-channel communication strategies by communicating requirements and expected results of marcom activities, campaigns, customer engagement events etc.
  • Interface across functions to facilitate and lead business initiatives that result in differentiating Lubrizol as a leading supplier in the corresponding segment.
  • Develop and present contents of on-trend concepts through promotional campaigns to serve for Lubrizol technologies promotion from time to time.

 

Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry or biology. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or business development experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the skin care or personal care industries
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix, multi-national organization
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to drive results through cross functional environments.
  • Commercial development acumen including value chain analysis, customer needs analysis, value proposition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
