General Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented APAC IT Asset Management Specialist to join our IT team in APAC. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the management of IT assets across the APAC region. This includes, but is not limited to, hardware/software tracking, physical inventory, procurement, managing user requests for IT assets.  The successful candidate will ensure the effective tracking, maintenance, and optimization of all IT assets, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT asset management strategies and processes for the APAC region, aligning with global standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and subscriptions. Keep data in ServiceNow.
  • Track and monitor the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to company policies. This includes:
    • Enter Purchase Requisitions (PR) for IT asset requests
    • Stock Room inventory
    • Recovery or reassignment of hardware and software assets assigned to terminated employees/non-employees
    • Disposal of retired equipment
    • Annual fixed asset certification and inventory
    • Support IT business initiatives such as refresh/upgrades, redeployment, standardization, and usage monitoring.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of asset records.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure proper asset management and compliance.
  • Optimize asset utilization and minimize costs by identifying opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and strategic procurement.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery, accurate invoicing, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and licensing requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Provide support and guidance to users or other IT colleagues regarding IT asset management processes, procedures, and self-service tools.
  • Generate reports and metrics to track IT asset performance, utilization and cost.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years working experience in IT function
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management principles, practices, and tools
  • Experience with hardware/software procurement and tracking
  • Strong sense of professionalism and ethics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Be proficient in both written and oral English
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
