Pipefitter

PIPEFITTER

Lubrizol Advanced Materials, a subsidiary of the Lubrizol Corporation has an immediate need for a pipefitter at our Louisville, KY facility.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support all areas of the facility with pipe system installation and repair.

• Assist with and/or perform repairs of mechanical equipment
• Provide knowledgeable and accurate troubleshooting expertise for mechanical problems.
• Perform required Preventative Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity Inspections of mechanical equipment, piping, and systems.
• Update required documentation for PSM, Mechanical Integrity, and computerized maintenance management system as needed.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Journeyman Pipefitter (equivalent experience and education considered)
• Industrial background and experience
• Ability to work with tools of trade
• Computer proficiency in Windows and software related to maintenance systems
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings related to maintenance activities
• Take responsibility for own safety and work with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to work any shift, overtime, holidays, and call-ins
• No lifting or respirator restrictions
• Effective communication skills

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

Welding experience/certifications on standard and/or exotic metals.

Experience with plastic piping systems

Starting Wage: $42.83, after 4 months of service increases to $44.35
