How You'll Make an Impact
As a Material Handler - Shipping & Receiving, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods throughout the facility. You will support our manufacturing and supply chain operations by safely receiving, storing, staging, packaging, and shipping materials while maintaining compliance with transportation regulations and site procedures. In this role, you will:
- Support the safe and efficient transportation, staging, preparation, and loading of finished goods for shipment.
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound materials and deliveries.
- Prepare products for shipment in accordance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and process shipping documentation, including labels, Bills of Lading, invoices, Certificates of Analysis, and Dangerous Goods Declarations as applicable.
- Maintain current knowledge of transportation regulations and complete required hazardous materials training.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and banding machines.
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, and receiving records within SAP.
- Ensure compliance with established standard operating procedures and work processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Core Problem Solving, and other site programs.
- Maintain housekeeping, organization, and safety standards within the shipping and receiving areas.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics personnel to support business and customer requirements.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of material handler experience and/or warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience.
- Forklift operating experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, reliability, and accountability.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work responsibilities.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely while adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
- SAP experience.
- Manufacturing, production, or machine operator experience.
- Experience handling hazardous materials and transportation documentation.
- Experience operating various warehouses and material handling equipment.
- Experience participating in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S initiatives.
- Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse best practices.
