ROLE

 

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing & executing the Asia Pacific growth strategy for pharma & nutra business aligned with the global strategy for this market segment:

  • Establish a strong connection/relationship with the global Pharma & Nutra business, marketing and technical team, and align the global and regional strategies that have been developed to date.
  • Develop a solid understanding of unmet needs in the various sub-regions and sub-segments in the APAC market to drive innovation projects.
  • Lead voice of the customer interviews and new product blueprinting in focused segments.
  • In conjunction with global Pharma marketing team, refine the strategic plan for APAC, synergize Beauty and Pharma in terms of market development and technology transfer. Work closely with the global and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Provide leadership to sales, marketing, and technical teams to execute key growth initiatives & projects.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of current market trends leading to product positioning and value propositions we can offer to drive profitable business growth.
  • Interface across functions to facilitate and lead business initiatives that result in differentiating Lubrizol as a supplier in the Pharma segment.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop and implement regional Pharma & Nutra strategy:
    • Define the priorities terms of target market, focused products, main applications, and key accounts plan.
    • Study addressable market in terms of market share, market application, customer, competition to set a tangible growth target.
    • Formulate market strategy: resource allocation, priorities setting, who to engage, how to win.
    • Lead the sales team to establish a robust opportunities pipeline and drive for commercialization.
  • Product portfolio management: analyze the competitive environment; product positioning; Value-based target pricing; margin management.
  • Drive new business development and position Lubrizol as a differentiated and leading supplier in focused sectors. Develop growth plans by connecting customer needs with Lubrizol core technologies.
  • Identify new product/formula/concept development and innovation needs and manage the innovation pipeline in APAC.
  • Lead Open Innovation Initiatives for APAC in collaboration with global stakeholders to identify potential candidates for partnership/ acquisition.
  • Lead New Product launch and develop regional tools in collaboration with commercial and technical teams.
  • Identify any gaps with current capabilities and develop action plans to address those gaps.
  • Lead and facilitate high impact business development growth projects.
  • Lead and manage marcom activities, campaigns, customer engagement events, etc.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry or pharmaceutical.
  • 10 years of marketing and/or business development experience.
  • Experience in the personal care or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix, multi-national organization.
  • Commercial development acumen including value chain analysis, customer needs analysis, value proposition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team facilitating skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to drive results through cross functional environments.
  • Expected travel approximately 30%.
  • MBA with marketing focus or PhD in related subjects are considered a plus.
