How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Production Technician, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving the execution and maintenance of safe and reliable plant operations by assisting with process units, material transfer and utilities operations, as well as basic frontline maintenance under close supervision and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You’ll assist with process sampling and basic testing to ensure that the product quality meets customer requirements, while complying with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Lubrizol Management System (LMS) requirements through safe work procedures and risk control measures. You’ll also serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and support continuous improvement projects in the plants. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

• Carry out blending process operations, perform filling of blended products into drums and isotainers in a safe and efficient manner.

• Carry out chemical additives transfer between bulk packages (tank farm storage tanks, marine vessel bulk) and smaller packages (isotainers, IBCs and drums).

• Control inventory (physical & documentary aspect), including tank gauging & sampling.

• Conduct line pigging and equipment flushing during batch changeover and handle regular start up, shutdown and commissioning of critical process equipment.

• Manage isotainer and storage tank heating in a safe manner.

• Operate plant air compressors, steam boilers, hot oil furnace, pumps, heat exchangers, rotary equipment etc. in a safe manner.

• Carry out minor maintenance work, 5S improvement projects and energy conservation initiatives.

• Adhere to all in-house safety, security, industrial hygiene standards and HSES & Quality regulations.

• Able to handle forklift equipment, training will be provided.

• Perform any other production duties assigned by the Shift Lead.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

Education Level

• Minimum NITEC in any Engineering or Technical field.

Industry Experience

• Minimum experience equivalent to 2 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Prior technical experience in a chemical company or prior working experience in a lubricant blending company would be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Good technical skills in handling rotary equipment & pipeline operations.

• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, etc.

Relevant Soft Skills

• A good team player and able to interact effectively with others.

Additional Requirements

• Able to perform night duty when required.
