DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Test incoming raw materials, in process samples, and finished goods
• Operate laboratory analytical equipment
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Conduct Out of Specification (OOS) lab result investigations
• Record, store test data in SAP and TotalChrom
• Use good documentation practices (ALCOA) recording data and results
• Use computers in all aspects of the laboratory operation
• Communicate information to manufacturing areas and stakeholders
• Conduct general housekeeping in the Quality Control Laboratory
• Must satisfactorily complete all Lab, Safety, and other training courses as required
• This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The QC Technician is expected to perform other related business duties as assigned by management.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND TRAINING:
• High School Diploma or GED required.  2 years college chemistry or associate degree in Chemistry or science is preferred.

• Minimum 5 years conducting chemical and physical testing in a lab.  Gas and Liquid Chromatography experience is preferred.
• Basic math skills, reading comprehension, and ability to communicate with others.
• SAP and TotalChrom experience preferred
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Able to lift 45 pounds, climb stairs, and move gas cylinders short distances.


SHIFT SCHEDULE:
• Must be able to work a 12-hour shift with flexible hours
• Provide vacation or emergency coverage as needed
