Are you looking for a role in HR where you will be supporting a diverse employee population, making a positive impact on employee growth and development, and providing valuable support to leaders? Lubrizol is currently looking for a Site HR Manager to join our Franklin, WI manufacturing site. This role would partner closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, as well as other HR colleagues across the US. A successful candidate will have a solid HR foundation, be driven by process improvement, and be able to adapt to situations as they arise.


What you will do:

  • Work with the North America HR team, supporting the sites to execute HR strategies and initiatives: including but not limited to onboarding, employee hire to retire lifecycle, talent acquisition, training and development, employee engagement, Diversity and Inclusion, strategic workforce planning and other site-specific HR work that is critical to provide effective support
  • Create and administer Human Resource policies and procedures; conducting investigations, providing counsel and advice to employees and managers on Human Resource polices/practices/procedures
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations activities for the business
  • As a member of the plant leadership team, support/direct cultural initiatives as well as serve as a participant and advisor during strategic alignment process
  • Communicate and implement corporate and global operations Human Resource initiatives
  • Promote and maintain a positive and respectful working environment
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset; recommending and implementing process improvements
  • Possess and model the organization’s cultural beliefs reflecting a strong emphasis on accountability and measurement of results
  • Provide and analyze HR data to support recommendations for change
  • Support and manage HR systems to ensure legal compliance
  • Lead and complete other miscellaneous projects as necessary


What you need to have:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in an HR partner role with a broad understanding of core HR processes within HR technology and systems, talent management and total rewards
  • Experience collaborating with a team of HR professionals and plant leadership
  • Coaching, influencing, and making sound judgment calls
  • Critical-thinking skills with the ability to think strategically and execute on ideas
  • Solid negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough decision-making capability
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and a Human Capital Management system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
